Marvin Harrison, Jr. New Rookie of the Year Favorite

After one game of Marvin Harrison, Jr.’s career, there was national hysteria.

After two, he’s the favorite to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

The Cardinals wide receiver shook off a slow debut with a dominant 4-catch, 130-yard, 2-touchdown performance on Sunday against the Rams.

Couple that with Caleb Williams’ slow start in Chicago, and the oddsmakers at BetOnline have changed their tune on the player to beat for the award.

NFL Offensive ROY Favorites

  • Marvin Harrison, Jr. +240
  • Jayden Daniels +250
  • Caleb Williams +400
  • Malik Nabers +600
  • Xavier Worthy +1400

Harrison had +800 odds to win the award after Week 1, which was behind Williams (+160) and Jayden Daniels (+500). Williams was instituted as the favorite after going No. 1 overall in the draft, but has now dropped to third behind Harrison and Daniels.

The last Cardinals player to win Offensive Rookie of the Year was Kyler Murray in 2019.

Speaking of the Arizona signal-caller, Murray has been arguably the best quarterback in the NFL through two weeks, and has seen his both his MVP odds and Comeback Player of the Year odds sliced in half at BetOnline.ag.

Murray was +6600 to win MVP after Week 1 and is now +3300. He was +1400 to win Comeback Player of the Year and now sits at +700.

Another Arizona figure making a move is Jonathan Gannon, who is now fourth in the odds to win NFL Coach of the Year. He sits at +900 odds after entering Week 2 at +2000.

The Cardinals are 1-1 on the season and are top-5 in EPA and point-differential, along with seventh in Team DVOA.

One other notable odds shift: Lions edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson has jumped T.J. Watt, Micah Parsons and Myles Garrett to become the new favorite for Defensive Player of the Year at BetOnline.

Hutchinson leads the NFL with 5.5 sacks and also has a forced fumble. He has +350 odds to win the award after entering Week 2 at +1000.

NFL Defensive POY Favorites

  • Aidan Hutchinson +350
  • T.J. Watt +400
  • Micah Parsons +600
  • Myles Garrett +900
  • Maxx Crosby +900

Hutchinson feasted on a backup right tackle last week against the Buccaneers, finishing with 4.5 sacks.

The Lions could employ the same strategy on Sunday, as the Cardinals are without right tackle Jonah Williams. Backup Kelvin Beachum struggled badly when replacing Williams in the opener but was good in Week 2.
