The AFC is setting up to be a battle royale come playoff time.
Could Davante Adams help tip the scales for a contender?
The star Raiders’ receiver is reportedly being shopped ahead of the NFL trade deadline, and the top five most likely destinations are in the AFC, per BetOnline.

New York remains the odds-on favorite due to Adams’ longtime success with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but the Jets have shrunk from -300 odds last week to -200 now.
The Chiefs have lost Rashee Rice for a significant period due to a knee injury, and with Hollywood Brown also on the shelf long-term, many expect them to make a move for a receiver.
Adams, who injured his hamstring in practice last week and could miss a few games, would majorly boost the offense for Patrick Mahomes, as the Chiefs look for another championship.
The Ravens could choose to add a star pass-catcher to an offense that has started rolling, while the Bills could be in play after dealing Stefon Diggs this offseason.
According to TopOffshoreSportsbooks NFL expert Nick Raffoul, the best bet among the favorites could be the Steelers.
“Pittsburgh pushed hard to add Brandon Aiyuk before the season, and the Steelers should still be in the market for a game-breaking wideout, especially after a strong start,” Raffoul said. “Justin Fields is playing solid enough football for Pittsburgh to fancy itself an AFC contender, and the addition of Adams would be a boon to the offense. The Steelers can free up some cap space to make this happen, and the +850 odds are enticing.”
A host of NFC teams are among the next tier of teams that could be in the hunt, including the Seahawks and Saints, who are off to strong starts.
